The disciples go OUT

Jesus sends the disciples OUT.  He did not tell them to find land and build a building.   They met in houses for the most part.  I am amazed that Jesus trusted them – that he trusts us – to be his hands and feet.  They messed up, they failed, but he trusted them.  I think they succeeded because he trusted them and gave them what they needed.

As we face the next 30 years I think the American Church is being challenged and we must initiate major changes.  I believe there is a correlation between what we face and the changes the disciples made in the 1st Century as they became “the people of the Way”.  People today want personal authentic worship with groups of people they can trust.  We have a need to feel safe and we want to go deep.  We also want to participate more in the proclamation event.  The people of the Way are about to re-write the way church looks.

What do you want the church to be?  Do you have ideas to share about how we will accomplish those changes?
