Sometimes God shows up in the most unusual and unexpected
ways when we least expect it. The
problem is that we find it hard to believe that He IS the God of miracles.
Once there was a man who faithfully served God for years but
somewhere along the way on his journey, he forgot that God was a God of
miracles. Then one day when he was
spending time with God, something very unexpected happened.
While he was spending time with God, an angel appeared. At first he was afraid, but then he didn’t
know what to think. The angel told him
there wasn’t anything to be afraid of and he said that God heard his
request. The man tried to remember what
request the angel could be talking about.
Years ago the man prayed for his wife and asked that she would have a
child, but it didn’t happen. They were
very old now and had been married for years but they had no children. There’s no way it could be that request!
The man was really puzzled and wondered what request the angel
could be talking about.
Often on our journey we wonder what will happen next…what is
God up to?
