Seeing THE Child

"WHAS UP??"
These three wise men rode into town on their camels, following a star just like it was a GPS tracker.  I mean, that star took them right to the spot where Jesus was located.  Google Earth couldn’t have done it any better.  They were so excited about the star showing them right where to go that they were jumping with joy, dancin’ wid their camels.  Those camels probably thought “whas’ up wid tis?”

These 3 guys WERE really smart and when they went into the house and saw Jesus and Mary they fell down and started worshiping Him.  They WERE so smart and they knew this really was the King of the Jews.

After they worshiped Jesus for a while they went and got their treasure chest that those camels  carried all the way from the East Orient.  I mean for months they carried their supplies and the treasure chest, water and food so these guys could see this king.

See, in those days if you went to see a king in a foreign land it was a deal that you take gifts.  You couldn’t just drop in empty handed or anything.

The 3 wise men wanted the gifts to be special, so they brought the good stuff in a treasure chest. They brought Jesus real gold, and frankincense, and myrrh because they thought those gifts would be fit for a king.

Then the 3 wise men let loose and started worshiping King Jesus.  They really worshiped Jesus!

I think they did know this was their only chance to worship this king. I mean, Jesus was in King of the Jews and they weren’t from around these parts.  This was a once in a lifetime trip for them and once they went back home they wouldn’t get to see Him again.  This was their one shot!

They might have thought they would hear about Jesus again, but more than likely they were not around 35 or 40 years later when word about Jesus started to spread. Yup, for sure, this was their one chance to worship Jesus and they took advantage of that opportunity.

It makes me kinda sad that they only got to worship Jesus one time and we get to worship Him everyday whenever we are open to it.  Makes me wonder if we don’t take worshiping Jesus for granted, and if we shouldn’t so it more.  Sure makes a body think about it…
